Sunday, September 1, 2013.  28 new bands of 12 species; 8 recaps.  New species: Gray-cheeked /Bicknell’s Thrush.  Bird of the day was the Magnolia Warbler with 12.  Most common species: Gray Catbird (3), Common Yellowthroat (2), Yellow-bellied Flycatcher (2), and Northern Waterthrush (2).
Today started off overcast and muggy and during the first two net runs, volunteers came back to the banding station empty handed. However, the third net run produced three birds and subsequent net runs averaged about three birds each.  Making for a slow day at the banding station.
