Monday September 16, 2013.  We opened with the sunrise though we did not see the sun all of the 6 hours we were open. The drizzles were light to moderate on and off all morning. We did manage to get a total 30 birds with 14 species. The new species for this fall was a myrtle/ yellow rumped warbler.

There were lots of thrushes to keep Gayle busy taking blood samples for research.  We had a call from Dan at the hawk station getting nervous about 4 eagles he was watching so Clair and Elizabeth went over. They returned later with no eagle stories.  With all the entertainment from our scribes the 6 hours went quickly.
