Wednesday October 9, 2013.  105 new of 13 species; 20 retraps; No new species today.  Bird of the day was White-throated Sparrow with 52 bands followed by Golden-crowned Kinglet with 22 bands and Hermit Thrush with 11 bands.

Today’s highlight was four hatching year House Finches all caught together in one net. Although House Finch is a common bird, we seldom catch them during migration season. Having all four at the same time gave us an opportunity to compare molt limits and plumage variations.
