Tuesday October 15, 2013. 94 new birds and 20 recaps. We probably could
have banded more if we had opened all nets, but with a small crew,
we stayed conservative. We never opened the back aerials.

It was definitely a day for sparrows, with White Throated Sparrows
most numerous with 30 banded. We also banded 8 Song Sparrows,
4 Swamp Sparrows, 1 Fox Sparrow and 1 House Sparrow.

To add to the mix, we had a sprinkling of Hermit Thrushes,
kinglets of both varieties, Winter wrens, Brown Creepers
and Yellow Rumped Warblers.

And it finally feels like Fall!
