Wednesday October 16, 2013   46 new bands of 11 species.

We had to wait out a 2 hour rain spell but we were all determined to wait.    Jon did comment that perhaps because of our late opening the birds did not think we were to open all day and just went on by us.   With that we did end up with a total of 46,  and there have been slower days so we were grateful for those that stopped by to see us.

Golden-crowned Kinglet came in first with 24 and the rest were dispersed among 10 other species. We did have a Hairy Woodpecker in the last net check which we were excited about.
