Thursday April 20, 2023: One of the most charming and chill birds to wander through our station today was the secretive Brown Creeper. This tiny brown and white bird may not seem extraordinary, but his speckled plumage is stunning as it shows a half dozen shades of brown from warm chestnut to cool taupe.
Wednesday April 19, 2023: It was chilly and overcast today, but our steadfast Wednesday crew braved the just-a-few-degrees-above-freezing temperatures, and cheerfully made the rounds all morning long. They had to be satisfied mostly by the fun of catching up with old friends, welcoming new ones, and getting their fitness goals met as birds were scarce.
Tuesday April 18, 2023: It was chilly and a little breezy today, and the overcast skies didn’t help to brighten things up. But, a cheery crew and a parade of chickadees dispelled the gloom and we had a delightful (some might say . . . a chickadee-dee-delightful) day.
