Sunday, May 11 2014. 83 new bands of 25 species; 7 recaps.  New species: Mourning Warbler and Brown-headed Cowbird.  The bird of the day was the Gray Catbird with 30 banded.
Sunday started off a bit chilly but turned out to be a beautiful day!  We had a steady flow of birds coming through the area and into our nets.  We could hear and see lots Baltimore Orioles in the trees around the station, but only captured one in the nets.  A beautiful male Mourning Warbler, a Ruby-throated Hummingbird, and a Myrtle’s Warbler were great treats for volunteers and guests visiting the station.   Leanna Twohig
