Saturday September 13, 2014  16 new of 12 species 3 retraps; no new species

We had four students from Cornell who  joined us for the day. We had radar on

because the skies looked threatening. Sure enough it started to rain.  It started out

as light showers. It got heavier after a while. We waited for over an hour.

It look like the rain was going to stop and it did for awhile.

We were able to band 16 birds but the rain started up again.  So we closed up for the day.

Bird of the day was Swainson’s thrush with three banded.
