Wednesday October 22, 2014. 65 new bands; 29 recaps.
At the start of our banding day, the skies were dark and the lake
was roaring! Definitely a gloomy and chilly day, but at least
it was not raining. So we opened the nets and were pleasantly
surprised to have a pretty good morning of banding.

In spite of the stiff breeze, we did not even get very many leaves
in the nets. I guess a lot of them are already on the ground!

White Throated Sparrows, Hermit Thrushes, Ruby-crowned Kinglets,
and Golden-crowned Kinglets made up the majority of birds banded,
along with a few Juncos, Brown Creepers and only one Chickadee!
