Monday May 4, 2015.  162 new of 25 species; 4 retraps.  New species Least Flycatcher, Golden-winged Warbler, Blue-winged Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, Orange-crowned Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, and White-crowned Sparrow!

This is Braddock Bay at its best!  And we were pleased to have Courtney Rawleigh, our intern from 2005-2006 spend part of the morning with us.

On one net run, we saw quite a few hawks overhead, and heard not only a Fish Crow but at least one Sandhill Crane.

Willie was able to take some of the best warblers out of the nets.  Scribe Terry Perry and new scribe Kim Denise kept up with two banders at once most of the time.

What a ‘feast your eyes’ warbler day!  Something to make us forget the cold winter and early spring!
