Friday May 15, 2015.  144 new of 34 species; 30 retraps; new species Yellow-bellied Flycatcher.  We had a great day of banding!  Bird of the day was Gray Catbird with 18 banded.

There were lots of ‘feast your eyes’ birds including the first bird of the day – a female Scarlet Tanager.  We banded 15 warbler species with 16 Yellow Warblers and singles of Mourning Warbler, Northern Parula, Orange-crowned, Nashville, and Yellow-rumped Warbler.

New volunteer Pat along with Aiden worked on the Memorial Garden and Judy did some much needed net mending.  Judy Snell brought in 10 trees to plant.

All the BTC students are getting proficient at net picking and banding and processing the birds.
