Tuesday Sept 8, 2015:  36 new birds of 11 species, 8 recaps.  Birds of the day were Red-eyed Vireo and Gray Catbird with 8 new bands each.  The day was partly overcast and it was pleasant in the shade, but it was still awfully warm in the sun.  We closed a few nets at hour 4, but we were able to keep most nets open the full 6 hours.  An early morning Northern Parula was a treat, but most of the rest of the birds were “old reliables.”
