Tuesday September 15, 2015.  61 new bands of 18 species; 22 recaps.  Bird of the day was again Magnolia Warbler with 19 banded.

The sizzling summer heat and swarms of mosquitoes made for quick net-checks!

We are enjoying Yellow-shafted Flickers … 4 yesterday and 3 more today … and almost all in the 40 aerial net.  They are a real handful to band and take measurements on … but what interesting, handsome (and NOISY) birds they are.

Gayle brought in an outstandingly delicious home-made cheese cake, which was very much enjoyed by all, especially Ryan!
