Tuesday May 10, 2016 34 new bands of 15 species; 5 retraps.  New species Magnolia Warbler and Lincoln’s Sparrow.

We had lots of visitors and some ‘feast your eyes’ new arrivals this morning including several gorgeous male Black-throated Blues, Magnolia Warblers, and American Redstarts.  And for the first time this spring we could say ‘at least we got a Least!’

Students from Rodney Olsen’s science class at the Diversified Occupation School in Middlebury, Vermont spent the whole morning with us, helping to check nets, and watching the birds being banded.

Stephanie got the MARS trailer all set up and tested several warblers.
