Adopt a Bird
Braddock Bay Bird Observatory is a not-for-profit group which relies on donations to
continue our migration research, conservation, and public education programs. You can help support BBBO’s mission by adopting one of the hundreds of birds that pass through our nets each year.
Adoptive “parents” will receive a certificate containing details of the adopted bird including species, band number, age, sex, and date of banding. If we receive updates on the status of the bird, we will send you information on where the bird was re-encountered.
You can adopt birds in one of four categories:
- Local Favorites ($20): American Goldfinch, American Robin, Black-capped Chickadee, Blue Jay, Gray Catbird, Northern Cardinal, Yellow Warbler
- Little Brown Birds ($50): Kinglets, Creepers, Thrushes, and Sparrows
- Nature’s Chorus ($75): Warblers and Vireos
- Feast Your Eyes ($100): Special birds like raptors, hummingbirds, one-of-a-kind captures, and other stunning birds that make us say “Feast Your Eyes!”
The “donate” buttons take you directly to PayPal, where you can use your credit card or your PayPal account.
Hint: when you click to review your donation on PayPal before submitting, there will be a space for you to specify your preferred species or leave other instructions for us.
